Israel Plans in Motion
Do airlines NOT make money in the winter? Do they barely stay afloat with $600 airfares just so they can scrape a profit in summer's $2700 economy(!) class seats? Apparantly so. I found out that the induction date for the army was August 3rd, not the 30th, so my Israel plans got bumped up 4 weeks or so. My ticket cost (only!) $1321 with a stopover in London.
My plans? Learn at KBY until the Gush pre-Army program starts, then learn with Gush for a few weeks, then dive in the shallow end of life. I actually do not look forward to hours of jogging, push-ups, and quite frankly, not even shooting (every little boy's dream, yes). But then, I do in a way. It will be relaxing to have no papers or tests. I wonder if I'll have time to read anything, or if I'll be sleeping and studying navigation inter alia with every spare moment...
